• Churches
  There are more church websites than any other type of Christian site. For many Christians who are not web-savvy, their own church's site may be their first experience of the Web. So a church site can be a gateway to chosen web resources for church members.

  The Web also offers a remarkable new way of faith-sharing. Not all Christians have gifts which can be easily used in any sort of public ministry within a church. Yet many, both young and old, are finding that cyberspace is an environment where they are comfortable to share their faith. A church could encourage this by recognizing it as a valid ministry within the fellowship, and giving prayer support and training to those involved.

• Directory/portal
  A Christian directory or portal is a one-stop start-point for many other online resources. The addition of a section about online evangelism can enhance the portal, as well as encourage repeat visits and new visitors through the poster, news release and 'tell-a-friend' features.

• Mission agency sites
  Evangelism is a seamless robe. Encouraging and equipping mission supporters to be involved in personal evangelism is not at odds with encouraging them to support the mission. Involvement in one will lead to greater involvement in the other.

  In addition, retired or returned missionaries can have a continued outreach to their original field of service through the Internet. There is a big shortage of evangelistic websites in languages other than English. Missionaries can play a vital part here.

  Although almost every mission agency has a website to represent its work to the Christian public, only a tiny number are involved in using the Web for evangelism.

• Discipleship sites
  A web evangelism section is a natural extension of any Christian discipleship page.

• Youth sites
  Young people are often very web-savvy, but may not know how to share their faith online. Teens love chat rooms. Youth ministries and church youth departments can train teens in appropriate ways to witness in chat rooms, as well as by email or page-writing. Why not hand over a whole area within a church site to the youth group? Trust them to learn and grow.

• Women's pages
  Women's sites are often particularly sensitive and empathetic in approach. Women have a vital role in online evangelism.

• Evangelism training sites, Bible Institutes/Seminaries
  This Web evangelism training material is a natural addition to such sites and can be incorporated within course material and other modules. It is required reading material for some courses.

• Christian disability/illness sites
  Many Christians have been prevented by serious disability or illness from taking a full part in church life. Computers and the Internet have been a liberating experience, placing them on a 'level playing field' for the first time in a cyber environment where their disablity may be unknown or of no relevance.

• Christian ISP/page designers
  Christian site provider pages are a good location for material that will encourage customers to develop evangelistic pages.

• Webmaster resource pages
  The Web Evangelism section is helpful for any Christian webmasters resource page.
