"The greatest danger for most of us is not that we aim too high and we miss it, but we aim too low and reach it" - Michelangelo

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY

Internet Evangelism Day is set for Sunday 21 April. Please can you use this short news release.

SOCIAL NETWORKING

Understand the new Facebook group system.

As this 29-second video explains, if someone 'Likes' an organisational Facebook page, that does not mean that they will automatically get updates onto their newsfeed. If Facebookers want updates, they must click on the button that now says 'Liked', and then select 'Get Notifications'. Obviously, people may want the option to Like a page without necessarily getting email information from it on a daily basis. On the other hand, for a few selected resources, people may be missing the updates they would have wished to receive. This will apply for instance if you have liked the IE Day Facebook page, but don't get updates from it.
