Despite the rise of social networking, email newsletters are still a vital element of
many communication strategies. Of course you can use freebies such as YahooGroups, or your
host company may provide an email service. Another option is MailChimp, which is free for
lower levels of use, but not cheap for higher levels. Even if you don't plan to use
MailChimp, check their very useful library of advice pages on the many issues involved in
email distribution, including spam, filters, and social networking - MailChimp for
Churches:

Feedburner is also a free way to distribute blog and other news items by email:

UK apologetics ministry Focus writes, "We're currently working on six series of short videos explaining and defending the Christian faith against contemporary scientific and historical challenges. These videos will be available online and on DVD, and our vision is that more than a million people will have watched them by the end of 2019.
"We've just produced a new brochure outlining this vision. You can read it or download

RESEARCH - UK's Church Army research unit is a great source of studies on evangelism in
contemporary culture. Their 6-monthly PDF Tomorrow's Evangelism is around 8 pages of
valuable analysis by researcher Steve Hollinghurst:

BRITISH BELIEF - Latest British Social Attitudes study shows 50% regard themselves as
having no religion:

REFUGEES - one of the sad characteristics of the last century has been mass movements
of displaced people. There are over 50,000 Bhutanese refugees in USA, and a further 9000
in other western nations. Diaspora people naturally have a strong need to maintain social
links with each other and those back home, and will often be heavy internet users. For
those with an understanding of the language and culture, appropriate online outreach to
diaspora peoples is a big opportunity:

My boss phoned me today.
He said, "Is everything okay at the office?"
I said, "Yes, it's all under control. It's been a very busy day, I haven't stopped for a minute."
"Can you do me a favor?" he asked.
I said, "Of course, anything, what is it?"
He said, "Hurry up and take your shot, I'm right behind you on the 7th hole."
