More about Internet Evangelism Day - the new focus day in 2006

Students/youth/teens sites

Since teens and students are probably the most web-savvy group in the world, online outreach to them is vital. Yet, as ever, we find a serious shortage of evangelistic sites to meet their needs.

  • IamNext.com uses a magazine style and addresses many issues of concern to young people.

  • Every Student - from Campus Crusade receives 160,000 visitors/month. Read the encouraging story of a young woman who found God through a student outreach site: view a 5-minute video (Windows Media Player or QuickTime) – and use it in church meetings or seminars to demonstrate the potential of the Web. See also this 2-minute video about how Christian students at James Madison University have used the site in personal evangelism and to reach their campus.
  • Wuzup God? - interesting approach, both for non-Christian and Christian teens.

  • Hopenet - covers felt needs for youth in five languages for teens.

  • Clubbing Temple - a UK outreach site for young clubbers.

  • Apologetics - some of these apologetics sites relate particularly to students.

  • Study helps relating to the school curriculum can also have an evangelistic angle.

Essay Generator is aimed at young people - a remarkable example of a creative approach. There is a great potential for an outreach site based on pop music.
