BOOYATAA is written in Pulaar-Fulakunda and Pulaar-Futa Toro (Toucouleur). There are glossaries to help speakers of each dialect understand the rest of the material. The dialects are sufficiently similar to Pulaar Futa that those speakers may also find it accessible.
These Pulaar dialects are spoken in Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Gambia, Mauritania, western Mali, Republic of Guinea, and Sierra Leone.
BADAKE is produced in Adamawa Fulfulde, which is spoken in Chad, Cameroon, N Nigeria and Central African Republic. It may well be understood by Fulas in Niger, Benin, Togo, and it would be interesting to test readability among Fulas in eastern Mali and Burkina Faso.
It may be possible to produce a third version of the paper in Fufulde-Maasiina in the future - please contact us if you can help.
Read how God led the editor to start this paper.
We will collaborate with any group which wishes to partner with us in the production/translation of the paper in other Fula dialects and we can give advice about use of fonts for the special Fula characters.
SOON Ministries also produce free evangelistic papers in easy-English, African-French, African-Portuguese, and Swahili.
