Free Christian articles for magazines and newsletters
Reprinting material from these pages
You are welcome to print articles or extracts from these Web Evangelism Guide pages or
the email Web Evangelism Bulletin in any print medium, including magazines, lecture/seminar notes,
OHP slides, PowerPoint etc., without requesting permission, provided that:
it is used in a non-profit situation
any modifications or editing do not change the overall balance
the source is acknowledged, with a credit line similar to:
Many of these features or pages
are self-contained articles that can be easily used in this way.
But not full pages online!
However, please do not copy the entire contents from any of these pages, or an entire issue of the Bulletin,
onto your own web-pages because search engines do NOT like to find near-identical material at
different domains and may penalize both your site and ours.
You are free to use a few paragraphs so long as this represents only a part of a page. But for a full page,
please use the Javascript syndication method below.
However, please feel free to use extracts of pages, or individual Bulletin stories, including in blogs.
Free page syndication
If you wish to insert the text of an entire Guide page into your site, this is very easy using the special
Javascript insert code offered at the end of each page. Because this is Javascript-generated text, it is invisible
to search engine spiders so there is no danger of penalty for duplicated pages.
The content blends entirely into your own page's style and layout, and of course does not include
our own header, footer and menu. There is an Introduction to Web Evangelism
page which could make a helpful summary of the topic for your readers.
Intranets and downloading
You are also free to download the entire site onto your hard-disk, and then if you wish post on
an intranet, using offline-browsing software which sucks up an entire site and converts all links to relative ones.
There are a number of these software products:
Webreaper |
Webstripper |
WinHTTrack Website Copier
are the several we know of, mainly free. The disadvantage of installing a site onto an intranet is that
the new material and updated links will not be seen. So it is recommended that you also include an link
to the online version so that the most recent material is available to people if needed (and also frequently update the pages on the intranet).
The URL you should use, both to collect up the entire site, and as the link for the best source of latest version: http://guide.gospelcom.net/index.php
We are also happy for the site to be distributed on Christian CDs – you will need the same software to convert
all links to relative, and again it is recommended that a clear external link is made to the online version so that people can
view latest material and updated links.
